TIMOTHY BYERS, CPA, MBA
Tim is the managing shareholder of Byers Accountancy Corporation. He has never been a stranger to hard work. In an industry that never tires, Tim’s dedicated energies are put to good use. Under his direction, the firm has increased in size and significantly expanded its service offerings. He recognizes that success depends on the strength of his company’s services. But he also understands that an integral part of success is attracting and retaining good people.
Tim has said, "We believe we have a proven track record in this area. In short, we put the strategies we advocate for our clients into practice for ourselves. We think strategically and act competitively".
Having worked in private industry, including international trade, construction and manufacturing, Tim has a first-hand understanding of both corporate structure and small business challenges. While earning his CPA certificate, Tim worked as a controller for a Fortune 500 Company. As a result of his experience, Tim understands the nuances of industry and can better assist his clients to realize the full potential of their endeavors. His network extends across many industries, positioning him well to navigate more easily on behalf of his clients’ varied interests. Tim focuses on providing taxation, consulting and advisory services to clients in a variety of industries. Specifically, he can assist clients in developing strategic business plans and financial projections for revenue streams that contribute to growth strategies. He also assists in operational consulting, and in structuring exit and succession plans. Tim assists his clients to better understand the financial aspects, and thereby, control their operations by providing budgeting and forecasting services, internal control assessments, financial planning and managing assets. He is the firm’s nonprofit practice leader with expertise in Yellowbook, Circular OMB A-133.
Tim graduated from California State University, Fresno in 1987 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno in 1998 and was awarded his CPA certificate in 2006. His participation in local organizations reflects his strong belief in being a good steward of his community. In his spare time he enjoys soccer and tennis—sports that have taught him to be aware of his surroundings and to find trajectories to create opportunities—all while on the move, and that has helped his overall game.
JEFF MORRIS, Staff Accountant
Jeff graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a degree in Business Administration. He has worked at Byers Accountancy since 2017 in various capacities. Jeff also has experience working for local churches, a non-profit, and a software company. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing soccer, traveling, personal finance, and spending quality time at home with his wife, Kaela, and dog, Harvey.
RYAN BORMAN, Staff Accountant
Ryan is currently working as a staff accountant at Byers Accountancy Corporation. He graduated from California State University, Fresno in 2017 with his degree in Business Administration and graduated from Liberty University in 2021 with his Master degree in Accountancy. Ryan has experience with individual tax preparation, audit, and bookkeeping. In his free time, Ryan enjoys being outdoors, playing games, traveling, and spending time with family.
ALMA CARRANZA, Office Manager
Alma has been a member of our Byers Accountancy Corporation team for over 5 years. She joined our team with over 12 years of management experience. As our office manager, she oversees payroll, payables, billing, inventory and keeps our office running like a well oiled machine. Alma also lends her expertise to a number of our business clients, providing payroll and payable services. During tax season, she manages the flow of documents throughout the office and the timely delivery of each completed tax packet to our clients.
In her off time, she enjoys trail running, hiking, biking and trips to the beach.
